Product Description:
Superior Quality Gamma-Irradiated Fetal Bovine Serum is sourced from premium ranches in South America. It is produced from blood collected via cardiac puncture of unborn bovine fetuses, processed by centrifugation and triple 0.1-μm filtration, and subjected to comprehensive quality testing, including BVDV (Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus) and a panel of viral assays, mycoplasma screening, endotoxin quantification, cell growth performance evaluation, and biochemical analysis. This grade of serum contains essential growth factors for embryonic development and exhibits low immunoglobulin levels. Gamma irradiation effectively inactivates potentially contaminating viruses and mycoplasma in the serum. The irradiation dose ranges from 30 to 45 kGy. Furthermore, this dose range does not alter the physicochemical properties of the serum or its performance in cell culture.
