WISENT Transferrin is from human plasma heat-treated at 60 degrees Celsius for 10 hours. The function of this protein is to transport iron from the intestines, reticuloendothelial system, and liver parenchymal cells to all proliferating cells in the body. This protein may also have a physiological role as granulocyte/pollen-binding protein (GPBP), which is involved in the removal of certain organic matter and allergens from serum. This product is supplied as a lyophilized powder of human transferrin and has been tested for use in cell culture at a concentration of 20 mg/L.

Storage conditions:
This product is stable for 5 years when stored refrigerate at 2 to 8°C.
Aqueous solutions of transferrin should be stable at 2 to 8℃ for 5-10 days. Solutions should be filter-sterilized for maximum stability.
