WISENT insulin is recombinant human insulin expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen. Recombinant human insulin is structurally and functionally identical to native human insulin sequence. Insulin is the primary polypeptide hormone responsible for regulating cellular uptake, utilization, and storage of glucose, amino acids and fatty acids, while inhibiting the breakdown of glycogen, protein and fat. Insulin is an essential supplement in serum‑free media. In its absence, cells may exhibit abnormal morphology and impaired growth rates.

Storage conditions:
This product is stable for 5 years when stored in the dark at -25℃ to -15℃. Multiple freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. Alternatively, it can be stored for up to 6 months at 2-8°C if it is sterile filtered through a low protein binding membrane or if it contains a suitable bacteriostatic agent, such as sodium azide.
