Albumin refers to a class of soluble monomeric proteins found in animal body fluids, tissues, and some plant seeds. Serum albumin can act as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and is also critical for regulating the colloid osmotic pressure of blood.
Human Serum Albumin (HSA), the most abundant protein in human plasma, serves as a transporter for hormones, lipids, and other substances. Its primary physiological functions include regulating plasma pH and maintaining plasma osmotic pressure.
WISENT HSA is a recombinant human serum albumin derived from rice seed endosperm cells, containing no animal-derived components and posing no risk of blood-borne viral infections. It has a molecular weight of 66.5 kDa, a CAS number of 70024-90-7, a powder purity of >99% (SDS-PAGE), and low endotoxin levels.

Preparation Instructions:
It is recommended to reconstitute the HSA lyophilized powder with PBS. The optimal working concentration should be determined experimentally based on research objectives, as well as specific cell types and animal models.
Reconstituted sterile HSA can be stored at 4°C for 3–6 months. After opening, use the product as soon as possible to avoid contamination.
