

Product Description:
Adipo MAX is a cell culture medium system that supports the growth and the expansion of Adipocytes. Wisent Adipo MAX Cell Culture System is supplied in a format that contains the basal medium (Adipo Max Medium, CAT.NO.: 301-085-CL), a sterile liquid culture medium, and the frozen supplement (Adipo MAX Supplement, CAT.NO.: 301-086-XL), which contains hormones and growth factors. FBS and antibiotics should also be added according to the percentage needed to culture the cells properly. We suggest 5% FBS (Premium Grade Australian Origin, CAT.NO.: 085-150), 50 μg/mL of Gentamycin (CAT.NO.: 450-135-XL) and 2.5 μg/mL of Amphotericin B (CAT.NO.: 450-105-QL).

Preparation of the Medium for Use:
Complete medium is obtained by addition of the Adipo MAX Supplement ( CAT.NO.: 301-086-XL ) , FBS ( we suggest premium Grade Australian, CAT.NO.: 085150 ) and Antibiotics in the Basal Medium (CAT.NO.: 301-085-CL ) .
1. Thaw Adipo Supplement between 15℃ and 25℃.
2. Remove the safety seal and open the basal medium in a laminar flow cabinet.
3. Remove the safety seal and carefully open screwtop of the supplement and transfer the contents with a sterile pipette to the medium. Repeat with FBS and Antibiotics.
4. Note the date of addition of the supplement on the bottles.
5. Close the bottle and swirl gently until a homogenous mixture is formed. The complete medium should be stored in the dark between 2 to 8℃ and can be kept for 6 weeks or at the longest until the expiration date of the basal medium.
Stability and Storage:
The Adipo Max Medium should be stored in the dark at 2 to 8℃ for up to 18 months. DO NOT freeze the medium. This can lead to high salt concentrations by freezing out pure water and would cause irreversible damage. The Adipo Max Supplement has to be stored at -25℃ to -15℃. Do not heat the supplement over 37℃ or use uncontrollable high sources of heat (e.g. microwave appliances).
