Product Description:
Mammary Epithelia Growth Medium Kit (Epi Max) is a serum-free medium optimized for the culture of mammary epithelial cell lines. The growth medium consists of a basal medium containing growth factors, trace elements, and a supplement that includes bovine pituitary extract. The bovine pituitary extract (BPE) supplement can also be used for the culture of primary prostate epithelial cells in serum-free medium. When used in conjunction with the three supplements—Epi Max SH: 002-013-IL, Epi Max SA: 002-014-IL, and Epi Max SG: 002-015-TL—this medium system does not require antibiotic supplementation.

Preparation Instructions:
The complete growth medium is obtained by adding the Epi Max Supplements, Epi Max SH: 002-013-IL；Epi Max SA: 002-014-IL；Epi Max SG: 002-015-TL，in the Basal Medium (Cat.No.: 002-010-CL).
Note: complete medium contains antibiotics. Do not supplement.
Storage conditions:
The Epi Max Basal Medium can be stored in the dark at 2 to 8°C for up to 18 months. Do not freeze the medium. Freezing can lead to high salt concentrations by freezing out pure water and will cause irreversible damage. The Epi Max SG can be stored at 2 to 8°C as well for up to 24 months. The Epi Max SH and Epi Max SA are to be stored at -25℃ to -15℃; the first for 12 months and the second for 18 months. Epi Max SA also needs to be stored in the dark. Do not heat the supplements over 37°C or use uncontrolled high-heat sources. The complete medium should be stored in the dark between 2 to 8°C and can be stored for 6 weeks.
