Product Description:Originally recommended for the growth of embryonic mouse cells and the propagation of polyoma virus in hamster cells, DMEM is today one of the most universally utilized culture media. The original formulation contained 1000 mg/L glucose (referred to today as low glucose); an increased concentration of 4500 mg/L (high glucose) has proven beneficial for the growth of multiple cell lines.
