Product Description:High-quality fetal bovine serum (FBS) is sourced from cattle raised on premium pastures in New Zealand. Blood is collected via cardiac puncture of unborn bovine fetuses, processed by centrifugation and three 0.1-μm filtration steps. It undergoes comprehensive quality testing, including BVDV screening and a panel of viral assays, mycoplasma detection, endotoxin quantification, performance evaluation and biochemical analysis. This grade of serum contains essential growth factors for embryonic development and has low immunoglobulin levels. Serum batches with extremely low hemoglobin levels are tested and selected for their ability to support primary culture establishment.
