Product Description:

DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium. DMEM, high glucose and GlutaPlus (Alanyl-Glutamine) supplemented medium is an optimized formulation based on DMEM. In addition to the basic nutrients of DMEM, this product use GlutaPlus (L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine) instead of L-Glutamine, providing cells with a more stable form of glutamine that reduces the accumulation of toxic ammonia during cell culture. It can support the growth of a various mammalian cells. Cells successfully cultured in DMEM include primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells, as well as cell lines such as HeLa, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12.

This product contains various components required for cell culture, including amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, but does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors. Therefore, this product must be supplemented with serum-free additives, typically with 10%-20% fetal bovine serum (FBS).
