Product Description: Canada Origin

BSA is Bovine Serum Albumin, also known as bovine albumin, or Cohn Fraction V.

WISENT BSA is prepared using high-quality bovine plasma and the Heat Shock method. It has a molecular weight of approximately 66kD, a CAS number of 9048-46-8, a purity of ＞98%, and low endotxin. 

Bovine serum albumin is widely used in biochemical experiments such as Blocking agent in western blot. In enzymatic digestion reaction buffers, the addition of BSA increases the protein concentration in the solution, protecting the enzyme. It prevents enzyme degradation and nonspecific adsorption, mitigates denaturation of certain enzymes, and reduces adverse effects caused by environmental factors such as heat, surface tension, and chemical influences.
