Product Description:

A-10 is a high performance growth media developed and optimized for cultivation of amniotic fluid cells and other difficult to grow cell lines. When used correctly, A-10 media will support optimal growth of amniotic fluid cells. It is used along with the A-10 supplement which is composed of various hormones and growth factors that have been shown to satisfy specific metabolic requirements for the culture of cells in vitro. Although it is relatively low in protein, A-10 supplement is effective in promoting and sustaining growth of difficult to grow cell lines. This product is intended for in vitro use. Not for human or animal therapeutic use.

Preparation Instructions:

This material is intended for cell culture. Handle the solution using aseptic technique.

1. Completely thaw frozen supplement ( cat no: 150-910 ) and swirl to ensure homogenous liquid.

2. Aseptically add entire contents of A-10 supplement (cat no: 150-910) to an A-10 basal medium ( cat no: 150-901) bottle.

3. Gently swirl to ensure homogenous liquid. Avoid foaming.

4. The medium is now ready to use. No other supplementation is necessary.

Note: Supplement A-10 ( cat no: 150-910 ) contains gentamycin.

Stability and Storage

The A-10 Basal Medium should be stored in the dark at 2 to 8ºC for up to 18 months. DO NOT freeze the medium. This can lead to high salt concentrations by freezing out pure water and would cause irreversible damage. The A-10 Supplement has to be stored at -25ºC to -15℃. Do not heat the supplement over 37ºC or use uncontrollable high sources of heat (e.g. microwave appliances.)
