Product Description:

Hepato MAX is a cell culture medium system that supports the growth and expansion of Liver cells. Wisent Hepato MAX Cell Culture System is supplied in a format that contains a sterile liquid basal culture medium (Hepato Max Medium, CAT.NO.: 301-070-CL), and a frozen supplement (Hepato MAX Supplement, CAT.NO.: 301-071-XL), which contains hormones and growth factors. Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) needs to be added according to the medium at the recommend concentration for cell growth. We suggest using Premium Grade FBS Australian Origin (CAT.NO.: 085150).

Instrutions For Use:

Preparation of the Medium for Use:

Complete medium is obtained by addition of the Hepato MAX Supplement (CAT.NO.: 301-071-XL), Premium FBS (CAT.NO.: 085150) and Antibiotics in the Hepato MAX Basal Medium (CAT.NO.: 301-070-CL).

1. Thaw Hepato MAX Supplement between 15℃ and 25℃.

2. Remove the safety seal and carefully open the basal medium in a laminar flow cabinet.

3. Remove the safety seal and carefully open screwtop of the supplement and transfer the contents with a sterile pipette to the medium. Repeat with FBS and Antibiotics.

4. Note the date of addition of the supplement on the bottles.

5. Close the bottle and swirl gently until a homogenous mixture is formed. The complete medium should be stored in the dark between 2 to 8℃ and can be kept for 6 weeks.

Storage conditions:

The Hepato Max Medium should be stored in the dark at 2 to 8ºC for up to 18 months. DO NOT freeze the medium as it could cause irreversible damage to the medium. The Hepato Max Supplement has to be stored at -25ºC to -15℃. Do not heat the supplement over 37ºC or use uncontrollable high sources of heat (e.g. microwave appliances.)
