Product Description:

WISENT insulin is human recombinant in Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen. Human recombinant insulin is identical in function and structure to the native human sequence. Insulin is the primary polypeptide hormone responsible for controlling the cellular uptake, utilisation and storage of glucose, amino acids and fatty acids while inhibiting the breakdown of glycogen, protein and fat. Insulin is an essential supplement in serum free medium. In its absence, cells may exhibit disturbances in morphology and growth rate.

Storage conditions:

This product is stable for 5 years when stored in the dark at -25℃ to -15℃. Multiple freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. Alternatively, it can be stored for up to 6 months at 2-8°C if it is sterile filtered through a low protein binding membrane or if it contains a suitable bacteriostatic agent, such as sodium azide.
