Product Description:

WISENT Transferrin is from human plasma heat treated at 60 degree Celsius for 10 hours. The function of this protein is to transport iron from the intestine, reticuloendothelial system, and liver parenchymal cells to all proliferating cells in the body. This protein may also have a physiologic role as granulocyte/pollen-binding protein (GPBP) involved in the removal of certain organic matter and allergens from serum. This product is supplied as a lyophilized powder of human transferrin and has been tested in cell culture at 20 mg/L.

Storage conditions:

This product is stable for 5 years when stored refrigerate at 2 to 8°C.

Aqueous solutions of transferrin should be stable at 2 to 8℃ for 5-10 days. Solutions should be filter-sterilized for maximum stability.
