Product Description:

NEUROCELL is a basal media specifically designed for brain neuronal cells. The basal media need to be supplemented with W21 or N2. Our W21 supplement has demonstrated superior viability and stability to any other supplement for maintenance of neuronal cells. NEUROCELL media is to be used without the need of an astrocyte feeder layer. It can be used to cultivate homogeneous neuronal cells from hippocampus, cortex, and other regions and contains advanced antioxidants.

Product Use:

(1) For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

(2) Stable for one week at 2-8°C once supplement.

Prepare Medium:

(1) Using W21 supplement

To 500mL NEUROCELL media add 10mL W21 supplement. Supplement with L-glutamine. (0.5-1mM)

(2) Using N2(100x) supplement

To 500mL NEUROCELL media add 5mL N2 supplement. Supplement with L- glutamine. (1-2mM)

Note:

For initial plating of primary neurons further supplement with 3.7 μg/mL glutamic acid. Some cell lines require initial attachment in complete NEUROCELL with 1-2% FBS.

The long term survival of hippocampus derived neurons is improved by addition of 25 μM 2-mercaptoethanol.

FORM: Liquid, Sterile, Ready to use.

SHEIF LIFE: Maximum 18 months.

STORAGE TEMPERATURE: STORE AT 2 TO 8℃. Protect from light.
