TBE (Tris/boronic acid/ EDTA) buffers are commonly used for nucleic acid electrophoresis. This solution is effective under weak alkaline conditions and can maintain DNA deprotonation, water solubility and freedom from degradation. The concentrated solution can be easily diluted to 1×or 0.5×( molecular biological grade water before use).
